Captain's Notes

Step aboard and you’ll feel right away that this isn’t a tired old houseboat—it’s a floating cottage that’s been fussed over for decades. The 50-foot footprint gives you real separation between living, sleeping, and entertaining spaces, with wide side decks that make line handling and fender work easy. Large windows keep the salon bright, so you never feel boxed in on gray days, and the upper deck has the square footage for proper loungers, a grill, and a crowd of friends. Storage is generous throughout, from galley cabinets to under-berth lockers, making longer stays aboard comfortable instead of cluttered. It’s the kind of boat where weekends quietly turn into weeks.

Why Gibson 50 in Minnesota

A Gibson 50 is tailor‑made for the broad, gentle stretches of an inland river system. The wide beam offers a steady, predictable ride when bigger wakes roll through, and the shallow draft lets you nose into quiet coves or tie up at smaller docks others can’t use. With the expansive topside deck and roomy interior, you’ve got a perfect platform for raft‑ups, fireworks nights, or slow evening cruises along the shoreline. Twin engines make close‑quarters maneuvering at marinas far less stressful, and the houseboat layout turns every visit into a comfortable waterfront getaway, no matter what the weather is doing outside.
