Description

SILVER LINING is a classic Warren O'Neal open bulkhead sportfish, built as the Pee Wee Jr. in 1975. She has had a handful of owners over the years since then. All of them have kept her looking good and have maintained her elegant simplicity. Her previous owner, a local mechanic and all around boatsman, took things a bit further in terms of modernization, speed and maneuverability, allowing the enjoyment level to flourish without compromising her class and practicality. He decided to remove the keel and replace much of the running gear, wiring, seacocks, hoses, fuel...

Captain's Notes

Step aboard and you can feel the hand-built character the moment your feet hit the cockpit. The house sides, sheer line and tumblehome all have that unmistakable Carolina flair that turns heads at the dock before you ever fire the engine. Sightlines from the helm are outstanding, with a low profile and narrow house that make running in close quarters feel intuitive. The open bulkhead keeps the captain in the conversation, and the cockpit’s clean, uncluttered layout makes it easy to move from chair to covering boards in a heartbeat. Underway, you’ll appreciate the soft entry and dry ride that made these early boats legends among charter skippers and private owners alike.

Why Warren O'Neal in North Carolina

This Warren O’Neal is built for the shifting moods of local waters—shallow one minute, choppy and confused the next. The narrow entry and flared bow soften head seas, while the light, traditional construction lets her accelerate quickly and stay nimble around bars, shoals and nearshore structure. Her open layout suits everything from live-bait slow-trolling to drifting and anchoring on small pieces of bottom where space and visibility matter. Draft and hull form make sneaking into skinny water for a swim or a shoreline cookout easy, yet she’s confident enough offshore when the forecast cooperates. It’s a classic platform tailored to the blend of backwater exploration and bluewater opportunity this area offers.
