Description

Built in the Ott yard in Germany and sold under Bianca Yachts, the 1978 Aphrodite 101 is known for its sleek design, tall rig, and well-thought-out winch positioning, which makes for easy shorthandling. This vessel is one of ten brought into Seattle in the late seventies to start a one-design fleet, and there are still a number of 101’s located in the Pacific Northwest. The current owner has maintained 'Prism' for 38 years, and in 2005, the boat underwent a total refit. Notable updates include a bottom peel and re-glass with vinylester resin and epoxy barrier coat by Seat West Boat Yard, a new Yanmar 1GM 10 Auxiliary Engine, and a Gori folding prop. Recent maintenance includes a haul-out in August 2023 with new bottom paint, anodes, and prop treatment with Barnacle Barrier Zinc Coating.
