Description

The 2004 Beneteau 393 is a handsome bluewater cruiser designed by Jean Berret. Built in the USA at Beneteau's SC plant, this 39ft vessel features a solid fiberglass hull with a structural inner grid and fiberglass floors. Powered by a 56hp Yanmar engine with 2500 hours, this boat has never been in charter. Additional features include air conditioning, radar, Kato davits and motor lift, Raymarine electronics, a 2020 bimini and dodger, and much more.

Captain's Notes

Step below and you’ll notice how bright and open the 393 feels for a sub‑40 footer. The generous beam is carried well aft, so the saloon doesn’t pinch in and the aft cabin actually feels like a real cabin, not an afterthought. The L‑shaped galley is tucked securely to port, ideal underway, with deep lockers and a proper stove you can actually cook on during a passage. On deck, the wide side decks and inboard shrouds make moving forward in a seaway less of a dance and more of a stroll. The cockpit is long enough to stretch out with a book, yet protected enough to keep crew comfortable on night watches.

Why 393 in Florida

This 393 shines in local waters where conditions can change from light afternoon breezes to punchy chop in a single outing. The hull form is quick in moderate air, so you’ll make good time on those typical weekend hops, yet it has the displacement and volume to stay comfortable when the wind pipes up. The moderate draft is a real asset for sneaking into shallow anchorages and gunkholes others pass by. With a roomy cockpit and generous tankage, it works just as well as a liveaboard platform as it does a capable coastal mile‑eater, perfectly matched to the mix of short hops and longer seasonal runs common in this area.
