Captain's Notes

Step aboard this 58 and the first thing you notice is scale—wide side decks, a generous beam, and the kind of headroom and storage you only get from classic Hatteras builds. The flybridge layout gives the skipper great sightlines forward and aft, with plenty of guest seating so no one misses the ride. Inside, the traditional Hatteras joinery, solid doors, and hefty hardware remind you this is a true bluewater cruiser, not a lightly built production boat. Multiple cabins and heads make extended cruising with family or friends comfortable, and the big aft deck becomes a second salon in any weather with the right enclosure. She’s a boat that feels safe, predictable, and substantial underfoot.

Why 58 Flybridge in Rhode Island

A 58 Hatteras flybridge is particularly well-suited to these waters, where conditions can shift quickly from flat calm to a steep chop. The deep, heavy hull and long running surfaces give a reassuring ride when the afternoon breeze comes up, and the flybridge offers excellent visibility for picking your way through busy harbors and tight mooring fields. Generous tankage and efficient cruising speeds make weekend hops or longer coastal runs practical without constant fuel stops. The wide side decks and solid railings are a real advantage when handling lines in tidal current, and the large aft deck becomes a perfect gathering spot at the dock or on the hook after a day on the water.
