Description

RENDEZVOUS was originally delivered to a sailing school and charter fleet in St. Martins in the Caribbean Leeward Islands, it was sailed in the Lesser Antilles and other Caribbean island chains until 2002 when it was brought to the West Coast of Florida. It was moved to San Francisco Bay in 2012. Ready now for her next adventure. The Gib'Sea 126 is a very spacious 44’ 8" cruising yacht, renowned for its design quality and robustness. Captain's Notes

Step below and you immediately notice the volume: tall headroom, wide beam carried well aft, and a layout that lets a full crew move without bottlenecks. The U-shaped galley is tucked where it should be for cooking underway, with bracing points and storage sized for real provisioning, not just weekend snacks. On deck, the long, secure cockpit and substantial coamings feel reassuring when the breeze is up, and the traveler and primary controls are within easy reach of the helm for short-handed sailing. Generous tankage, practical engine access, and plenty of dry stowage make longer passages feel realistic rather than aspirational.

Why 126 in California

Prevailing winds and lively afternoon chops in this cruising ground reward a hull that accelerates smoothly and tracks without drama, and this design excels there. The ballast ratio and moderate draft offer a confident feel when the breeze pipes up, yet still allow access to shallower anchorages and tucked-away coves. A powerful but easily reefed sail plan means you can keep moving in light air and stay comfortable when it builds. Below, the multiple private cabins and real sea berths keep off-watch crew rested on overnight coastal runs, while the spacious saloon turns weather delays into relaxed, social time instead of cabin fever.
