Description

I have a Very clean 2005 Reinell 185 Had an aerial 2.0 wakeboard tower with twin bullet speakers also had a new ATK marine 4.3/262 performance engine that currently only has 10 running hours on it. And I’m super happy with ATK it Runs absolutely amazing. The original stock 4.3volvo motor had 185hp now with the new ATK motor it’s pushing 260hp which is a huge difference. Including with boat is Bimini, fishfinder, set of skis, wakeboard, wakeboard tow rope, anchor bungee rope w/buoy set, fire extinguisher, and lifesaver rescue device. $15,000 obo - if interested please contact Josh @...

Captain's Notes

The 185 hull from this era has a great reputation for feeling solid underfoot, with a deep-enough cockpit to keep crew comfortable when the afternoon chop picks up. At just over 18 feet, it’s easy to trailer, launch, and tuck into smaller storage spaces, yet still gives you room for friends and gear. Helm visibility is excellent, and the simple analog dash makes it straightforward to keep an eye on speed and engine vitals. Reinell’s interior layout on this size emphasizes open floor space, so swapping between cruising, skiing, and hanging out at anchor feels natural. Upholstery and hardware are typically tough enough to handle regular family use without constant fussing.

Why 185 in California

A nimble 18-foot bowrider like this Reinell shines on the mixed waters you find here, from tighter rivers and coves to open, breezier stretches. Its size makes it easy to maneuver at crowded ramps and in narrow channels, yet the hull still has enough heft to ride smoothly when boat traffic kicks up some wake. The compact footprint pairs well with most mid-size tow vehicles and shorter driveways. For local lakes that often have no-wake zones and frequent speed changes, the responsive handling and quick planing are a real asset. It’s also a versatile match for the area’s blend of casual cruising, tow sports, and relaxed anchoring in quiet bays.
