Captain's Notes

The Bryant 214/RB is known for feeling bigger than its length, thanks to a deep, secure cockpit and a generous bow area that keeps everyone comfortable when the chop picks up. Bryant builds on a heavy, hand‑laid fiberglass hull, so the ride stays solid and quiet instead of rattling when you hit wakes. The 5.7 MerCruiser in this hull gives strong holeshot for pulling riders up quickly, while still cruising efficiently at moderate RPM. Thoughtful touches like thick stainless hardware, full‑width swim platform, and easy engine access make day‑to‑day ownership simpler. It’s a classic open‑bow layout that’s just as happy anchored in a cove as it is running across the main channel.

Why 214/rb in North Carolina

In many local lakes and reservoirs, afternoons can bring heavier boat traffic and short, steep chop. The Bryant 214/RB’s deeper hull and higher freeboard help keep spray down and passengers drier on those bumpy rides back to the ramp. For narrow rivers, coves, and no‑wake zones, its size makes it easy to maneuver and dock without feeling under‑powered or cramped. Sandbars and swim areas are where this model shines, with an inviting bow, roomy cockpit, and swim‑friendly transom that make getting in and out of the water simple and safe. It’s a versatile choice for mixed use: cruising, towing, and relaxed floating all in one package.
