1987 Four Winns Horizon 160

For a compact bowrider, this 1997 Horizon 160 punches above its weight in usable space. The wide bow seating lets a couple of friends stretch out instead of sitting knee‑to‑knee, and the low, sporty profile makes it feel nimble and responsive at the wheel. Four Winns built these with a deeper‑than‑average cockpit for a 16‑footer, which helps everyone on board feel more secure when the afternoon chop kicks up. With the lightweight package and matched trailer, it’s easy to tow with a mid‑size vehicle and simple to launch solo. The wraparound windshield keeps the wind off your passengers, turning quick cruises into surprisingly comfortable rides.

A Horizon 160 is ideal for the varied conditions you’ll find here: calm morning water for cruising, busier afternoon chop, and tight launch ramps that reward a smaller, maneuverable rig. Its modest length makes it easier to store in a standard garage or driveway, yet the open bow layout still gives room for family or guests without feeling cramped. The hull design offers a reassuring ride when boat traffic picks up, while the compact size keeps fuel consumption in check on longer days. For local lakes and nearby waterways, it’s a practical, budget‑friendly way to get on the water without needing a big truck or marina slip.
