Captain's Notes

Step aboard this 1989 Silverton Convertible and you’ll feel how much volume these hulls offer for their length. The salon’s wide beam gives you room to actually move around, not just squeeze past each other, and the large side windows keep it bright even on overcast days. The galley-down layout keeps cooking separate from the lounging area, so you’re not tripping over gear when guests are aboard. On deck, high side rails and a secure cockpit make it a comfortable platform for fishing, diving, or just setting out deck chairs at anchor. The flybridge sightlines are excellent, with a commanding view for docking in tight fairways or threading shallow channels.

Why Convertible in Virginia

A Silverton Convertible is a smart match for these local waters, where you often need one boat that can do a bit of everything. The hull design offers a good blend of efficiency for longer runs and enough heft to stay comfortable when the afternoon chop builds. The generous cockpit is ideal for trolling, throwing crab pots, or loading up beach gear, while the flybridge keeps you high enough to spot channel markers and traffic in busy waterways. Below, the separate stateroom and enclosed head make weekends aboard practical, whether you’re riding out a rainy front or stretching into a full cruising getaway.
