The 44 was a good selling boat over her 6 year production run. Built on a shortened 46 Super Sport hull with a restyled deck and superstructure, creating a very appealing and good-looking boat. Upon entering the large open main salon from the cockpit, one can easily see relaxing and entertaining. Separating the main salon from the galley down is the breakfast bar. The galley is well appointed and makes meal preparations a snap at anchor or underway. A comfortable 2 cabin configuration with the forward owner’s cabin featuring an island queen berth, abundant storage, and enclosed private head and shower. The guest cabin located adjacent to the galley has two single berths as well as a private head. In the design phase, Ocean Yachts realized that by narrowing the aft section and reducing the deadrise to about 1.5 degrees, they could create a slightly flatter bottom, making the boat faster and more agile.
