The 1974 WestSail Cutter is a classic bluewater cruiser known for its robust construction and seaworthiness. The original owner single handed her back in the “Race”. She has been on the hard for more than 30 years.The original owner replaced Pearl with a 42 WEStSail ketch in 1996. He put Pearl on the hard then. I bought her to restore and sell. I have been restoring her for two years. The hull has been refinished with a two part paint system. The bottom has been striped to gel coat and re painted with anti fouling. There are no blisters. The deck has new finish and is solid. Cap rail in great shape with the bow sprit and boom vang being re built. Hatches’ refinished and new Lexan installed. I replaced the refrigerator and propane stove. The interior has been re finished. She was ordered as a “Sail A Way”kit. There are no electronic on her now. The boom and mast have been painted. Installed LED running lights with new wiring. There are 3 sails: Main, Gib and Yankee in good shape. The engine is a Volvo 26HP twin diesel with 50 gallon fuel tank. Fuel injectors have been replaced with the high pressure being service. Runs great and will move her at 6 knots. You can take Pearl anywhere you choose.
